Carpe Diem #1116 Saint James Scallops

This month © Chèvrefeuille is on a pilgrimage to Santiago De Compostela while reading Paulo Coelho's "The Pilgrimage".
After arriving at Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port we were informed about the history of this pilgrimage route
and now we will encounter the one who will help us on our way, not our guide,
but Mme Lourdes, an old woman who walked the Road to Santiago herself several times ... and she is part of one of the orders of the Tradition, a kind of spiritual society.
This is part of Paulo Coelho's novel "The Pilgrimage" in which we will meet Mme Lourdes.

So this is what the Tanka poem below is about.

Growing Spiritual Together.

The scallop shell is the traditional emblem of James, son of Zebedee, and is popular with pilgrims on the Way of St James to the apostle's shrine at Santiago de Compostela in Galicia (Spain).

    1. Yes it does, it certainly makes me stop and think, I'm not used to writing a tanka poem from a story, most times it is a picture or from a prompt so it has quite a bit of thought put into it for me.
Thanks for commenting, hope you have a nice 2017.
